Donald Trump’s second term is as dangerous and threatening as we knew it would be. He is waging  war on our city’s most vulnerable groups while starting reckless wars around the world. From attacks on the LGBTQ+ community, DEI, to ICE’s illegal detention of our neighbors, the administration’s policies have created fear and instability.

Trump’s 2016 election was the catalyst for me to get involved in public service - off the sidelines and into the fight. We know District 3’s strength comes from its diversity and sense of community and I believe New York City must continue to defend the protections that keep our communities safe, by safeguarding LGBTQ+ rights, women’s reproductive freedom and ensuring immigrant families can access city services without fear.

As your Council Member, I will work with community organizations that support immigrants and other marginalized groups, legal advocates, and residents to protect our immigrant neighbors and targeted minorities and ensure District 3 stands firmly against discrimination and intimidation. I will do everything I can to ensure our immigrant neighbors are protected from a hostile federal government and will stand up for the rights of those who have always called New York home.

We are a city of immigrants, after all.
